Welcoming Our New Professional Fellows: Gladys Avelar and Andrea Alonzo!

We are very excited to announce that we have two new team members with us! Our team is expanding with the addition of two exceptional fellows from the Professional Fellows Program, sponsored by the State Department. We are committed to advancing women in small businesses, fostering a community for women creatives, and promoting diversity within our team. This initiative is a testament to our dedication to creating a more inclusive world.

Meet Our New Fellows

Gladys Avelar

We are delighted to introduce Gladys Avelar, our newest team member. Gladys brings extensive experience in marketing and sales, particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods sector across Central America. She has managed multimillion-dollar businesses for industry giants like The Kraft Heinz Company and Grupo Bimbo. Renowned for her expertise in developing and executing successful business strategies, building strong commercial relationships, and driving significant sales growth, Gladys is a powerhouse in her field.

As the founder of Paso Cero consultancy firm, Gladys now specializes in creating tailored marketing and sales solutions. She holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Commercial Management from Barcelona University, among other qualifications.

Andrea Alonzo

We are equally thrilled to welcome Andrea Alonzo to our team. Andrea has a wealth of experience in business development, particularly in strategic planning, marketing, and quality processes for micro, small, and medium enterprises. She has been with the Chamber of Commerce of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for nearly seven years, where she has been instrumental in boosting economic growth and trade opportunities in her community.

Andrea is passionate about fostering economic development and is eager to dive into the American business culture.

We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to an enriching and collaborative three weeks with our fellows. Their arrival marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to promote diversity, support women entrepreneurs, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
