🔧 Championing Women in Trades & Tech: A Powerful Evening at CCBC

To close out an inspiring Women’s History Month, Hazel Geary and Rachel McFadden had the incredible opportunity to speak at CCBC’s Think & Grow Seminar Series on March 20th. Held at the Essex campus, this special evening brought together women changemakers to share stories, spark dialogue, and celebrate the impact women are making in the skilled trades and tech industries.
Joining forces with the amazing Krystal Henry, the panel dove into a powerful discussion on breaking barriers, shifting narratives, and the future of women-led innovation. Moderated by Professor Patricia W. Marshall, the conversation touched on everything from personal journeys and career pivots to the importance of mentorship, representation, and community support.
The conversation was thoughtful and energizing, with each panelist sharing candid reflections on their career paths, the challenges they’ve faced, and the lessons learned along the way. It was a meaningful dialogue centered on the power of representation, mentorship, and what it takes to create space for more women to lead in trades and tech.
