6 Simple Do’s about Blogging for Business

May 7, 2012

DO keep a monthly blog calendar

Coming up with 2 blog posts a week in advance and setting them up in the WordPress calendar creates a deadline you can’t miss.

DO educate your readers

Teaching them something new, possibly something new you learned that week.

DO allow comments

Having a reader comment allows good or bad feedback about your post. Don’t forget to respond to comments to keep the conversation going.

DO link your blog to social media

Make sure you blog is linked to your Facebook business page, Facebook personal page, LinkedIn, Twitter, and any other social media avenues you use.

DO use an image in your blog post

Who just wants to see words in a blog post? Also, name your images with keywords.  This adds another searchable item into google.

DO add a call to action

Give your readers a reason to return (think discount on a physical good/service), or better yet incentivize them to sign up for your e-mail list!
