10 Aug Putting on the Ritz
Putting on the Ritz has been a household name in the Baltimore-Washington D.C.-area catering world for more than 30 years, synonymous with award-winning menus, personalized service and timeless style. From weddings and corporate events, to high-profile social events, Putting on the Ritz helps brides and other event planners bring their vision to life.
In keeping with their pristine reputation, they wanted a completely new website experience that serves up a beautiful, intuitive user experience while showcasing their past work front and center. They tasked Drio with envisioning a brand new look and feel, including a new information architecture and all-new photography drawing.
Our scope of work included:
- Web UI/UX Design and Development
The home page is designed with calls to action for every type of event planner by inviting them to explore the catering company’s four core services: Weddings, Corporate Events, Social Events and Menus. Users don’t have to search for their service of choice — instead, it’s front and center when they land on the site. We chose an easy-to-navigate interface and lightened up the site significantly, adding more white space and larger imagery for a more refined experience.
- Photography Curation
When it comes to events and food, nothing tells a story quite like imagery. It’s why choosing and organizing the right imagery was such a critical part of this website overhaul. We carefully selected every image, pairing it with the right message and editing it to perfection to create a website experience that invites event planners and brides to clearly visualize what their event could look like.
- Content Strategy
We collaborated closely with Putting on the Ritz to establish a more concise information architecture and create a brand narrative that elevates their core services, menu and venue selections and client testimonials. Clear-cut navigation allows event planners and brides to quickly and easily get where they need to go, whether it’s exploring venues, menu options or browsing the most recent blog post.
The result? Our client is thrilled with their new website — and we’re pretty proud of our latest creation too. Check it out at http://www.puttingontheritz.com/.
